App Revenue and Statistics: month #8

This month was not a good month at all.  I have been working on a new app and spent zero time on existing apps.  That means I have not released any updates and not done anything to promote my current apps. Near the beginning of October I switched all of my ads over to the Millennial Media ad network since I wasn't seeing good results with Admob.  During the entire month of November I left it all on  Millennial Media.

The numbers took a big hit all across the board.

We had less ads shown and a lower click through rate which combined to give a much lover revenue figure.  It was a major step in the wrong direction but still my second best month overall.

During the month we saw 983 total downloads and an increase of 98 active installs.  

Installs:
30 Day Love Spark
3594 total installs (increase of 975)
886 active installs (increase of 96)

Beale Street Music Fest
453 total installs (increase of 8)
66 active installs (increase of 2)

The plan this month is to get an update released for my existing apps.  I want to add a couple features to allow people to share app on facebook if they like it.  I also want to encourage feedback in the market since after 3594 downloads of my 30 Day Love Spark app its only got 6 ratings and only 1 comment.  This makes it really hard to figure out what users like and don't like about the app. I'm also going to switch some of my ads back to admob to see how it is comparing now.  I think from now on I may keep at least 25% on each network.  That is enough traffic to see how each is performing and switch whenever I see a trend of one outperforming the other.

I'm also going to try hard to get my new app released.  With the busy holiday season coming up I don't know if I will have the time to finish it before the end of the month.  but hopefully by early January I can release it.
